Specifying Ojmar locker locks: a checklist for architects, designers and joiners
Locker locks are a small line in a large project, but getting them wrong causes delays at the joinery stage and frustration once the building opens. This checklist covers what we look at when helping architects, designers and joiners specify Ojmar locks.
1. Who uses the lockers, and how
Day use, assigned to one person, booked, or paid? This decides the mode: free, dedicated, rental or booked. The OCS 30 and OTS 20 (Advance) handle shared and personal lockers on one lock.
2. What users will carry
A padlock, a code, an access card or wristband, or a phone. Match RFID locks to the building's card technology early.
3. Wet or dry
For pools, showers and spas, check the rating. The OMS Combi is IP65; the OCS 30, OTS 20 and OTS 20 Batteryless are IP55.
4. Door material and thickness
Some published ranges:
- OMS Combi: doors 1 to 22 mm
- OMS 8002: doors 1 to 21.5 mm
- OGS 10: locker doors 6 to 20 mm, furniture 16 to 20 mm
- OCS 30: laminate, HPL, melamine, glass and metal doors up to 24 mm
Check each datasheet for door preparation details.
5. Finishes
OCS 30 in graphite, silver or white. OMS Combi in black, white or silver. OMS Hasp in chrome.
6. Management
Stand-alone locks, or connected to Ojmar Cloud for live status and remote management with the OTS 40 (Pulse) or OTS 40 Batteryless.
7. Power and sustainability
No cabling is needed for any Ojmar lock we supply. Battery-free options include the mechanical locks and the human-powered Batteryless locks.
Datasheets and support
Datasheets, brochures and installation guides for every lock are on each product page. We provide specification documents and product advice, review locker schedules, and can join design meetings.
